2019 NSHDA Spring Checking Clinic

 

Body contact and body checking are critical parts of this fast moving physical game. To excel in the game of hockey at any level you must be able to give and receive checks with confidence and not the fear of injury.

 

NSHDA checking clinic are designed to help the player transition into Bantam hockey and also help the second year Bantam build on their first year playing contact. The NSHDA staff will help train your game so that you have the contact skills and confidence to play in tight, physical situations and reducing the chance of injury.

 

  • NSHDA staff will focus on developing key skills including angling, body positioning, ice awareness, contact techniques and much more.

  • A maximum of 20 participants will be accepted in each group to ensure low player to coach ratio.

 

Dates:

Saturday, March 16th and

Sunday, March 17th

 

Schedule:

8:30am – 10:00am             Squirts

10:10am – 11:40am           Peewees

11:50am – 1:20pm             Bantams
